AYMO Ventures, the Zagreb-based fund backing early-stage founders across Croatia and the wider region, has invested in Walletap's seed round. Terms are undisclosed.
Walletap is also one of five teams joining AYMO's latest cohort — alongside NextGenFarm (agritech), Checkgrow (growth-marketing AI), Smagri (precision irrigation), and Fibo-Accounting (hospitality fintech). A sharp cross-section of where AYMO is placing its bets in Southeast Europe right now: agriculture, fintech, hospitality, marketing.
AYMO partners with founders building high-growth companies across Croatia and the wider region, with a portfolio that spans healthcare data (Meddox), SME financing (Financiraj.hr, Fibo), agritech (NextGenFarm, SMAGRI) and games (Sentona). Their thesis — in their own words — is founders with “real ambition, strong execution, and the resilience” to build through the cycle. That maps onto what we've been building at Walletap for the last few years, and is exactly the kind of partner you want as the platform moves from early-customer rollouts to general availability.
The capital unlocks three workstreams that have been queued up for a while:
Model Context Protocol server on the market. With funding we can pour real engineering into the agentic flows it enables — pass creation, template edits, customer notifications, all conversational.Nothing changes in the short term — the platform, the pricing, and the team carry on. Over the next two quarters you'll see the API surface expand, the MCP catalogue grow, and a noticeably faster cadence on the desktop and mobile clients. If you've been waiting on a specific integration or webhook, this is a good moment to come and tell us — the roadmap has just gained a lot of headroom.
Thanks to the AYMO team for the conviction, and to the other four teams in the cohort for what's already shaping up to be a sharp group. More to come.
